How to Fight the Flu at Preschool

Kids are notorious for spreading germs, and during cold and flu season, it can get messy. Our Hillsborough child care providers do their best to keep our preschoolers safe and healthy. But here are a few important things you can do at home with your toddler:
  • Wash hands often – Practice good hand washing before and after using the bathroom, before eating and handling food, and after coughing or sneezing.
  • Keep a well balanced diet – Make sure your little ones get plenty of fruits and eat their veggies. Keep them hydrated with plenty of fluids and get them plenty of nutrients and vitamins found in fruits and veggies to help their immune systems fight off viruses.
  • Disinfect –  Disinfect surfaces like doorknobs that are touched by a lot of people. Disinfect toys that get passed around between kids, and wash any pillows and blankets used by someone who was sick.
